Insurance Parity Update
|

HB 0059, which deletes the Sunset provision from
our current parity law, passed out of the House Insurance Committee by a
vote of 12-4 and is now on 2nd reading in the House. Thanks go to
Representatives. Lang(sponsor), Bellock (chief co-sponsor), and
Feigenholtz, Fritchey and
Boland (co-sponsors). Also to Chairperson Mautino for his help.
Please urge your representative to vote for this bill when it reaches the
House floor.

As things progress, we will be asking for NAMI
Illinois' membership to weigh in! This is an issue that is important
to NAMI and others...everyone should get ready to have their voices
heard.
